Email lists, personal and group discussions, daily newspapers - all are buzzing with discsussion about AEU issues.
Branch meetings are occuring - news stays within the school.
Union officials visit - responses stay within the school
The EAU news is published - letters are a tiny sanmple of the input
Website changes (occassionally) - only the official "newspeak"
We need an open discussion forum where branches and oindividuals can post their response and comments so that we can have a better guess (yes it will always be a guess) at what consensus may be emerging.
How often have you been discouraged from sending input to processes that subsequently "invent" a consensus in ways that are far from transparent. "Why bother ?", you ask yourself. "They will do what they want anyway."
Yes, they will.....
Unless .... enough people demand and participate in debate.
They are most likely to do this where they can see and be encouraged by seeing the thoughts of others...
So.... post those comments. Identify yourself, please. But stay anonymous if you feel the need.
No need to register.
